“Research on Sharing and Automation for Privacy-Preserving Attack Neutralization (SAPPAN) – a glimpse behind the scenes”
Summary: SAPPAN is an EU-funded project (Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 833418) that aims to develop, amongst others, means for outsourcing of cyber-security threat handling for small and midsize companies.
In this talk, you will get an overview of the SAPPAN project in its different facets and a look past the smoke and mirrors of project politics to tangible research, applications, and results. At the end of the presentation, you will be offered an opportunity to participate as a member of SAPPAN’s end-user committee, if you feel inclined to do so.
Bio: Mischa Obrecht has been involved in Cyber Security in different roles as analyst, auditor, project manager, engineer, and penetration tester with national and international companies during the past 9 years. He currently works as a security specialist for Dreamlab Technology AG Switzerland and manages Dreamlab’s involvement in SAPPAN in this capacity. He is 33 years old and lives in Thun, Switzerland, between the lake and the mountains.
