The European Cybersecurity Skills Framework –

A Swiss Knife for Addressing The Organizational Challenges of Your Cybersecurity Practice

Small organisations are struggling to set up a cybersecurity practice. Large organisations are  struggling to define precisely the job roles within information security teams. Everyone is  struggling to hire the right talent.

In this presentation Gergana Karadzhova-Dangela, a Security Solution Engineer at Microsoft  Switzerland will present four ways the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF)  can support organisations of different sizes to enhance their operations. The four use cases  will include:

  • ECSF for resource planning
    • ECSF for setting up a cybersecurity department
    • ECSF for creating a job description
    • ECSF for upskilling and reskilling

In the second part of the presentation, Gergana will share updates about a recent ENISA  study on AI’s impact on the 12 ECSF profiles, especially how AI is changing the role of a  Pentesters and Incident Responders. Finally, the talk will offer a sneak preview of the  upcoming European Certification Scheme for Managed Security Services (EUMSS).
