17:30 – 18:15: Carlos Azua “Pentesting AWS, tricks and tips”
Summary: As many companies are adopting cloud as their main platform, and AWS being the leader CSP, many security aspects need to be considered. The traditional penetration test needs to be refactored, and a security consultant needs to have a clear understanding of new methodologies, tools, and restrictions that he/she is going to face.
This talk is focused on the characteristics of AWS cloud, how to approach the pentest process in its different phases – reconnaissance, enumeration, exploitation, and post-exploitation, the tools we can use and a review of the most common and exposed AWS services.
Bio: Carlos is a Cybersecurity consultant with over 12 years in IT and +4 years in security. He has worked in the whole software development lifecycle, designing, developing, deploying applications, securing and performing penetration tests over many corporate and startup applications.
He has many certifications like eLearnsecurity’s, eWPTx, eCPPT, and eJPT. He also has the CEHv10 certification.
His security-related technical skills are focused on web application pentest, Cloud security and pentesting on AWS.
