ISC2 Chapter activities for the year 2020

Dear Friends, dear professionals,

on May 28th, 2020 we had our General Assembly, due to COVID-19 actual situation we met together trough a “Virtual” event on our WebEx platform.

The assembly voted for the new board, elected president for the year 2020 is Enrico Fontan, Head of IT Operation by Repower AG.

New board is composed as follows:

  • Enrico Fontan, President
  • Camillo Lucini, Vice President
  • Erich Vogt, Treasurer
  • Rodney Fortune, Secretary
  • John Alexakis, Membership Chair
  • Olufemi Oyewumi, Vendor Alliance & Partnerships Manager
  • Jeff Hunter MSc, Marketing Support

As last year Sandro Cadosch is confirmed for the ISC2 Chapter auditor role.

We are more than happy to serve the IT Security community in Switzerland and for this year we are planning to improve and foster the collaboration between our members. We are pleased to inform you that we are organizing three working groups:

  • Job Board: this initiative has been announced during the GA from our Vice President Camillo Lucini, main aim is to revamp the existing Job Board to allow recruiters and members to share Job opportunities.
  • Safe and Secure online: The objective is to inform children, teenagers and adults about the risks associated with the use of IT resources.
  • Chapter Marketing: we need collaboration to be able to be active on the following channels, Twitter, LinkedIN, Website

We are also planning to have regular online Events, we are now planning the agenda for this year. Please feel free to contact us at board@isc2-switzerland.ch for questions, speaking opportunities, or new ideas!

Chapter security Event CSC 2019

We are pleased to inform you that the registrations for the Chapter event are now open!

CSC 2019 – It’s coming

CSC 2018

Dear Chapter Members,

We are organizing a whole day event on Friday the 28th Sept at TechnoPark Zurich
and we would like to invite you to attend and/or be more actively involved.

CSC 2018 – https://isc2-switzerland.ch/conference-2018/

This year’s event is now entirely organized by the (ISC)2 Chapter Switzerland so we welcome any suggestions / contributions or new ideas by the members

Chapter Members who have something interesting to share with the audience, can deliver a speech. There are still some slots open so in case you are interested, please contact the Board, with a short professional bio and a topic summary, and we will come back to you. All speeches should have high educational value for the participants, relate to today’s hot topics in information security and be in English.

  • Participation as Chapter Member comes at the special price of 20CHF instead of 80CHF (speakers join for free)
  • Registrations will open soon here
  • Exact time schedule within the day is not yet final, because we want to be flexible enough to include candidate speakers, who will express their interest the following weeks.
  • Registration is possible only through Credit Card because we support full refund until 2 weeks before the event (in that case send an email to j.alexakis@isc2-switzerland.ch until 15th of Sept). So there is no reason to wait to register later.
  • The special price of 20CHF is available to active Chapter Members only. So if you haven’t paid the membership fee for 2018 yet, this is excellent opportunity to do so and attend the event at this reduced price.
  • You can collect 8 CPEs by participating. If you register your (ISC)2 Member ID in your profile, we will submit the 8 CPEs to (ISC)2 on behalf of you after the event.

You are also encouraged to share this event on social media and invite colleagues to join.
